Our school is a high poverty school in an urban district. The overwhelming majority of students in my class are English Language Learners (ELL students). As third graders, they are beginning to find books and series of books in which they are interested. As technology is embedded in their lives outside of school (games, social media, etc.), I see this as an opportune pathway to incorporate reading and increase reading stamina.
