Student's currently use paper notebooks but with the iPads students will be type their responses and add photos in their scientific journals. In addition to the journal writing ELLS will be able to share their classroom written assignments with classmates in school or via email with families. Students can easily access their online accounts from home and share their learning with their family members. My Newcomers will type their content vocabulary rich scientific observations on iPad and be able to easily edit and share their products. Implementing the use of electronic notebooks will help with editing written projects at school and in the home and encourage family engagement in the lives of my ELLs.
