Funded Nov 23, 2019The STEM Activities that are apart of our classroom are such a hit! The students love Fun Friday because they know we will get time to use the STEM Activities.
The great thing about the activities funded is that students of all levels can complete them. That even some of our students whose strengths are not reading or math love engaging in these activities. These activities actually bring out their strengths.
Students really use Engineering and Science and Literacy skills to help them work with a team to accomplish the tasks. Using these activities throughout the year really helps our students build strong peer relationships.
Once again, Thank you so much for supporting our classroom this year!”

Flex Seating for the Sidney Keys Class
Funded Nov 30, 2021Thank you so much for donating to our class so we can get flex seating!
When the new seating options arrived, the kids were so excited to use them and learn all about them. The red desks are a hit! The students love them so much we are going to submit another project to get another set.
With these flex seating options students are now able to sit all around the classroom in different groups and partnerships to work. Students are now more than ever engaged in small group work and independent work because they can choose how they want to learn. Students race over to grab different cushions and the red desks to learn around the room.
Because of these flex seating options students are now advocating for how they best learn and making sure they are set up for success.
The Sidney Keys Class is so grateful for your donations. Thank you again!”

Funded Oct 21, 2021Thank you so much for your support in funding our TIMES Magazine! The students love learning about different current events in the world and the world around them.
Since we have the digital and paper versions of the KIDS TIME it allows us not only to share and send home a paper copy of the article, but also share digitally the article on Google Classroom. This allows a bit of our classroom to be shared with the families at home. Each week the students are excited to learn something new and can't wait to share with their family members or friends in other classes.
Thanks again for donating KIDS TIME magazine. It has gifted our class the love of nonfiction reading that can be in and outside of the classroom!”

Funded Aug 25, 2021First, I just want to say thank you again for funding this project. It has meant so much to our class this year. Because of your generosity our ICT classroom is now able to have 2 screens and students are able to learn from anywhere in the room.
When you look at the pictures of students engaging in learning from both screens you can tell how engaged and excited students are to be learning from their seat in the room. Students have even taken ownership over our new mounting arm. Making sure that we treat it with respect and value what someone else has gifted us.
Once again, Thank you so much for contributing to our learning this year and for future scholars who will step foot into this classroom. We appreciate you beyond words.”

Becoming Great Mathematicians
Funded Jan 30, 2019Thank you so much for supporting our class this year!
Math has become one of my students favorite times of the day. They love their new math centers and can't wait to play all the new math games. My students now try really hard to finish their math book work so they can have time with centers. They love playing with the new dominoes and the new Jenga, Connect 4, and Guess Who?( Math Edition).
The new folders helps my students with their independence. Now when they finish their work they know the exact folder to go right to when they finish their work.
Once again with thank you so much for your support in making us become great mathematicians!”

Funded Jan 8, 2018Thank you so much for your donations our class really appreciate the headphones. You don't know how much your donations have changed my kids lives. When the headphones arrived our students were so happy that they shouted with joy!
Thanks to your donations we now have all of our tablets up and running in the class. Seven students at a time are able to use our tablets at a time to support their literacy skills. They are using programs that support with phonics and reading.

With your donations are students were able to shop at the Bucket Filler Store using the bucket fillers that they earned. Building Our Classroom Library
Funded Dec 30, 2016Thank you so much for your donations. These books have really changed our classroom library. Our students really enjoy getting new books and they can't wait to read them at home and show their families. The students did not know what to do with Ninja Turtles, Princess and Batman Books! Even though they are a short read it has boosted their confidence in reading so much.
Reading is not something that has always been our students' favorite. They were always just reading with their head laying down and not showing any engagement. Now they can't get enough of reading. They love reading and talking about the new books in the library.
Our class is so lucky to have people in the world like you that cares so much about making a difference. Thanks so much for making a difference in their lives! WE APPRECIATE IT AND WE APPRECIATE YOU!”

Math Centers for Diverse Learners
Funded Feb 28, 2016Thank you so much for the materials you donated to our classroom. It has been such a great experience for our students and we are now growing our brains even more in math. The different math centers you have donated has helped our students become so successful in fluently adding with 20. In addition to adding our students are able to order numbers up to 100. Even some students learned how to skip count by 5s and 10s with the colored coded 100s chart.
When the materials arrived our students were so excited to see what was in the many boxes that arrived to our classroom that afternoon. The next morning after we set everything up the students arrived to their new room with smiles so big, because they couldn't believe all the new materials we received. They enjoy that we have our very special centers for math. Most students were excited because they knew these centers would help them grow their brains for 2nd grade.
I know this only briefly goes into detail about the impact your donation was to our classroom. But we greatly appreciate all the support from you and thank you so much for your kind gifts.”

Mrs. Crenshaw
