Supplies Needed for Blended Learning Success!
Funded Sep 16, 2020Thank you so very much for your generous donations! My students and I are truly grateful. The items that I received through your generosity to fund this project helped to keep us productive and safe in our classroom during the past school year.
Having an additional Chromebook in the classroom this year wasn't just a luxury, but a necessity! Whenever a student left their device at home, or a device needed charging, I knew I had a backup for the students to use so they would not miss out on any of our digital instruction. The headphones I received were also crucial for our instruction, as they enabled my students to focus on the work on their own devices by being able to block out distractions. Our final new piece of tech gear - a document camera - was also instrumental in allowing me to project texts so the students could sit socially-distanced around the room but all be able to view the same material.
The individual supply boxes that the students kept at their desks, floor decals to ensure our line spots were 6ft apart, and boxes of children-sized masks also contributed to keeping us safe and healthy while learning.
With your generous donations, I was able to provide a safer and more robust learning experience in my classroom during such a trying school year. My students and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Ripo

Funded Dec 2, 2020Thank you so very much for your generous donations! My students and I are truly grateful. Using my new MacBook Air in the classroom the past few months made a world of a difference for our class in what programs I was capable of using. Especially during this difficult school year, better tech access for my in-person students wasn't just a luxury, but a necessity.
The students loved that with the new computer I had better tech capabilities, not just for our usual lesson slides that we used through Google Classroom, but also for fun "extras" throughout the school day. For instance, we were able to play interactive Kahoot! games online during our lunch period, which was a great way for the students to interact with one another while staying safely socially-distanced within our classroom while they were eating at their desks.
The new laptop also gave me the opportunity to have better connectivity with our school network, which allowed for a more stable connection to Zoom. It was so important to have this, as my students were then able to participate in virtual class trips to museums, as well as a weekly virtual art program. It was wonderful to be able to give the students these cultural opportunities during a year when we couldn't partake in our usual field trips and in-person experiences.
Without your generosity I would have to have continued to use my older, slower laptop this school year, and not have been able to provide as many worthwhile learning experiences for my class. Both my students and I benefitted greatly from your kindness, and for that we are eternally grateful!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Ripo
