Tech Accessories
Funded May 1, 2017Thank you so much for your extreme generosity. The addition of these tech accessories have made a huge difference in my classroom. My students had a lot of difficulty navigating the Chromebooks we have, but the use of the wireless mice has greatly helped. These mice allow my students to navigate the Chromebooks with much more ease and confidence. The Charging station has also made use of our Kindles much more manageable. We have limited outlets in our classroom so it was a challenge to charge all of the Kindles. Now we are able to charge all of them at the same time. Thank you so much for helping out my classroom with these valuable additions!”

Books for All Readers
Funded Apr 27, 2017Thank you so much for your generous donation of leveled books to my classroom. Our library was seriously lacking lower level books. Many students were upset with their lack of choices of books to read. My students are now excited to go to the library bins to find an array of books to read on their levels. Students now look forward to choosing new books to read each week because their choice of books have expanded. You really have helped to build a love of reading in my classroom of students with special needs. Thank you for your generous donation!!”

Making Math Visual!
Funded Apr 23, 2017Thank you so very much for your donations to my students. These visuals for use in math have made a huge difference for my students. My students with special needs are mostly visual learners. Having these supplies has really helped my students to 'see' math concepts in a new way.
The math folder games are a favorite in my classroom. These are used as centers to work at after math work is complete. This has been a huge motivation for my students to complete their math work so that they can play these math games. The best part is that as they play these games my students are learning so much!
Thank you for generosity!”

We're ... Fading... Away... We Need Printer Ink!!!
Funded Mar 1, 2017Thank you so much for your extreme generosity. Having a colored printer in our classroom is amazing, but it does not do any good without ink! The colored ink has contributed to the learning in our classroom. I am able to print out colored pictures for models, charts, vocabulary words, and worksheets. It is an amazing tool that really helps all learners. My students love when charts and stations can be printed out in color and then laminated for their use. Your generosity is truly appreciated by all learners in my classroom!”

Paper Can Make All the Difference!
Funded Jan 30, 2017Thank you so much for your generous donation of paper and envelopes. These supplies were greatly needed in my classroom. By having a large supply of paper I am now able to make differentiated worksheets, sentence starters, and visuals for my students with special needs without worrying about running out. This allows me to truly meet the needs of all of my students. The variously sized envelopes have also come in handy. I have used the larger envelopes to house centers and the smaller envelopes have been used to store my students' flash cards. Thank you so much for helping us to get organized and giving us a much needed supply of paper!”

Chromebook Technology For A Special Needs Classroom
Funded Dec 29, 2016My students absolutely love the Chromebooks! having these laptops in our room has made a world of difference. My students with disabilities have been able to practice essential skills on various educational websites. The Chromebooks have also allowed my students to use speech to text technology which has greatly improved their confidence when it comes to writing. with the use of the Chromebooks my students can speak to the computer and what they say is typed for them. My students who barely wrote anything in the beginning of the year are now writing using this technology. Thank you so much for your extreme generosity!”

Funded Sep 18, 2016Thank you so much for your extreme generosity! Having these Kindle Fires in our classroom has made such a significant impact on my students. My students also use these Kindle Fires during center time. Students are able to access apps of all subject areas on multiple levels. These tablets have been such a wonderful addition to my classroom. They allow me to differentiate and meet the needs of all of my students. Special Needs: Speech to Text Technology
Funded Aug 3, 2016Dear Donors,
Thank you so much for your extreme generosity! Having the Dragon program and computer chairs has made for a great start to the school year. I have already set up the Dragon program for use during writing. It has been so beneficial to have. I have several students who have learning disabilities or speech and language disabilities. Many of them do not like to write. This is a frustration point for most of my students. In the past I have seen students become angry during writing or just refuse to write. Now, I am able to have my students use the Dragon program to write. They absolutely love it and it is building their confidence. They are thrilled to see all of their ideas finally getting onto paper. Thank you for helping to build our computer center and the confidence of special needs students!”

Flexible Seating: Sit, Stretch, Cycle, Bounce, Lay... Just Learn!
Funded Aug 1, 2016Dear Donors,
Thank you so much for your extreme generosity! My students were so thrilled to see our new options for flexible seating. One of their favorite spots is to sit in the comfy Big Joe bean bag chairs in the library. Students love to sit in those chairs to read or do some work with a clipboard in hand. My students also absolutely love the yoga mats. They roll them out and lay down to do their work. It is amazing to see that my students are willing to do more work when they have an option to sit or lay in a comfy spot. These options really help my students to focus and take pride in their work. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

Stand Up for Learning - Standing Desks
Funded Aug 1, 2016My students and I really appreciate your generosity. My students are getting so much use out of the standing desks in my classroom. It is hard for students to sit down in chairs all day. Having the flexibility to stand and work is a popular trend in my classroom. Students can't stand over their own desks to work because they are too short and causes their backs to hurt. These standing desks help my students to stand and work comfortably. It definitely keeps them more awake and active. Thank you for your generosity!”
