  • MACing Distance Learning Fun!

    Funded Nov 5, 2020

Donating this MacBook to my classroom has made a huge difference. It connects to our smartboard and allows me to project lessons. It runs so much faster than very old computer we had. Technology in the classroom is of extreme importance in today's teaching world.

I am so grateful for this donation. I am able to plan lessons in a mobile fashion now. I can take my work and show another teacher and talk it over. This is a huge improvement as compared to a desktop computer. My students enjoy having a computer that works fast as well! Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. F.

  • Basic First Grade Classroom Supplies

    Funded Oct 24, 2019

Thank you so very much for your extreme generosity. My students are really benefitting fromt he basic supplies for the classroom. They use the scotch tape everyday when they tape their sight word center bracelets together. They wear the bracelets proudly and practice reading the word on it all day long. The chart paper has been used for me to make charts to display that the students use as resources to remind them of a strategy taught. The table top easel has been used everyday when I teach small groups. I can use magnets to display sight words and draw on the easel to show math strategies step by step. Thank you so much for making a difference in my students' lives.”

Thank you so much for your extreme generosity. Having these math centers has made a huge difference in my special needs classroom. The students have a chance to play these games every single day. After completing their independent work, my students get to go to a math center to learn and review math concepts through playing games. All of the math games you bought us are perfect for this. There is a game for every single standard taught in first grade. My students LOVE playing these games. They get so excited when I introduce a new one to them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

  • Our Classroom Needs a Printer!

    Funded Jul 17, 2018

Thank you so much for the generous donation of a printer with with 3 toner cartridges. This donation has made such a huge difference in my special needs classroom. I work in a school with very limited printing and copying. All teachers in the school share one printer that is usually out of ink or not functioning properly. This makes it very challenging to print differentiated materials for my students. Having this printer in the classroom has made it possible for me to print different materials for my special needs students. Some of these materials include leveled passages/books, number lines, tens frames, visual aids, checklists, and many more materials. Thank you so much for your extreme generosity!”

  • Functional and Flexible Library

    Funded Jul 13, 2018

Thank you so much for donating to my special needs classroom! All of the items you sent for our library have been such a hit. When I changed the library bins from our old and broken bins to the new and bright ones you sent us, my students became so happy. They kept telling each other how great the library looks now. This new look makes the library more inviting and comfortable for my students. They are so eager to go and pick new books from their new and organized library.

The wobble cushions and lap desk are new favorite places for my students to sit and read or complete work. They both provide such a cozy comfortable spot for my students to focus on their work. Thanks so much for your donations. You are the best!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. F.

  • Supply 1st Graders with Classroom Supplies!

    Funded Jul 28, 2017

Thank you so much for your extreme generosity. These basic supplies are essential to my 1st grade I.C.T. classroom. Being able to start off the school year having these supplies was a big plus! I was able to laminate resources for students to keep in their folders for all subjects that can be used throughout the entire year. Lamination really helps keeps important papers for my students. The pencils, glue sticks, and dry erase markers are used each and everyday in the classroom. I was also able to use the labels to level every student's folder and notebook. These supplies helps keep our classroom organized and running efficiently every single day. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. F.

I teach in a 1st grade I.C.T. classroom in the Bronx. My students have learning disabilities, ADHD or speech and language impairments. My special needs students require more visuals and hands on experiences in order to fully comprehend a concept. This means I am always trying to come up with visual and kinesthetic ways to teach my students.
