  • Mrs. Bradley's Bookworms

    Funded Aug 25, 2022

I greatly appreciate your generous donation to our classroom. The impact that it has made in our classroom is tremendous. The students were so excited when they saw

the different titles from their favorite authors and new book series to explore.

During our designated independent reading time, students in my class are able to find enjoyment in reading and delve deeply into their books. The books that they read give them an escape to a different time and place.

I am able to provide books at different levels to my students who struggle with reading. They are able to read books at their level and connect with the characters that they read about.

Once again, thank you so much for your generous donation. It is greatly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bradley

  • Social and Emotional Learning Through Literature

    Funded Mar 13, 2022

I can't thank you enough for your generous donation. It has made a tremendous impact in our classroom. My students were so excited to be able to choose from all the new authors and stories. They have been able to make social and emotional connections with what they've read and have found new authors that they enjoy reading.

Students in my class have a designated independent reading time where they are able to find enjoyment in reading and delve deeply into their books. They truly enjoy escaping into their books.

Even my students who struggle with reading are able to read books at their level and connect with the characters that they read about.

Once again, thank you so much for your generous donation. It is greatly appreciated.”

  • Math Manipulatives for Kindergarteners

    Funded Apr 14, 2014

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. My students were so excited when they spotted the colorful rolling cart as they walked in one morning. Questions were abound as they wondered what was in the drawers. When they found out that the rekenreks were in the drawers our math period couldn't arrive soon enough. One student thought the modeling rekenrek was huge and was amazed that their rekenreks were "just like the big one but smaller".

We are able to use the rekenreks to strengthen our math strategies. We have been working on addition and subtraction. The rekenreks also have made it easier for the students to see the number bonds. In addition, the colored group of five beads help the students to count on instead of recounting each individual bead.

This project has boosted my teaching and my students' learning by giving them the tools to help them solidify their mathematical foundation.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bradley

I teach a wonderful class of kindergarten students. They are energetic, enthusiastic, and caring. They LOVE to learn. My students attend a Title I K-8 elementary school. They are starting their journey into learning; and, for some this is the first academic learning setting. My students are very eager to learn and no matter how difficult the task, they persevere.
