My students come from similar backgrounds. Most of my students are on free and reduced lunch and come from single/parent homes and low-socioeconomic status. The majority of the students that I teach are eager to learn and parents have the desire to help and be involved but, have limited resources to do so. Many of the parents have moved into our district from an even more impoverished area in hopes of a better education that is free of distractions.
