  • Bring Art Back to the Classroom!

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

All I can say right now is WOW! You all have made our learning dreams come true. These supplies are going to motivate our students so much more! They already LOVE that we now have an art program and I have seen such a huge difference in their engagement and behavior. Just wait until I tell them all about the new supplies we will be getting that they will be able to work with! They are going to be blown away! Thank you for the various paints, drawing supplies, much needed art papers, and so much more! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU so much for supporting our class! I will be sure to send photos of the art work and supplies so that you can see the impact your donation has made!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Klipp

  • Ready, Set, Go!

    Funded Nov 7, 2017

Many of my students come to school unprepared or hungry. Since receiving these donations - this is no longer the case. My students know that they can come to my class and will always have a pencil or will be able to grab something quick to eat so that their hunger does not take away from their learning. My students are so appreciative of this gesture. For example, I have a class of students directly from lunch. Instead of eating, many of my students prefer to play at recess because this is their only time to enjoy outside. They live in neighborhoods where it is unsafe for them. Normally, they would come to class thirsty and hungry. These would be the only things they would think of - causing them to be unfocused. Now that my students know there are snacks and water waiting for them, they show up on time and ready to work!

In order to surprise my students, I unpacked all of the donations and displayed them on a long desk that I have in the front of the room. When my students first saw the materials, they were confused! They did not understand what all of these great supplies could be for. I explained that generous donors, like yourself, kindly donated the supplies to our class. They were ecstatic to say the least. It has been almost a week since we have received the supplies and they are still so excited. I can see the frustration level already decreased when my students are looking for a pencil or when one of them arrives to my class hungry.

Much of my Science class revolves around all of the exciting opportunities of the world around us. We are planning on a project that will help us with virtual reality field trips. My students are really looking forward to being able to see a world once out of reach.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Klipp

  • Wiggling For Success!

    Funded Jan 28, 2016

Thank you so much for donating to my project. The disco seats that we have been using have been so helpful for getting students on task and keeping them working. One student in particular has been doing so much better in class since he began using the seat. As soon as he enters the room, he knows to get his seat and begin working. Before using the seat it would take him up to 20 minutes to get settled and begin working. This was not only a disruption for the individual but for the entire class itself has even been bringing the seat with him from class to class. When our package first arrived the students were so excited, all 30 of the students wanted to try them out. We have 2 "extra" seats that we keep in rotation for students who do not typically need them. I really can't thank you enough for helping out my class. I have shared these seats with some of the other students in self-contained class and know that they have had similar success.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Klipp

My English Language Arts classroom is comprised of 35 awesome 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students with a variety of disabilities. The majority of my students have been diagnosed with emotional disabilities, autism, ADHD and learning disabilities. I work in a district that tends to the most severe students. My intention is to help theses children achieve the most success possible inside and outside of our classroom. Most of my students come from low-income homes. This makes it difficult to always have the materials and support needed to assistance in making this happen. We are so fortunate to have people who have so generously donated to help make their world a better place.
