Monday morning excitement returns! After many years teaching at the intermediate level, grades 4 and 5, I am returning to first grade. My school is a kindergarten/first grade old building in need of a great deal. There are 8 classes at each grade level. I'm a new classroom they are adding because of increased enrollment. At this point, I'll have 25 students, a few with special needs. While I've been given the basic materials-desks, a file cabinet, and some math counters, budget restraints prevent any "extras."
