I teach students grade 7th and 8th with autism. My students are non-verbal, have limited communication and social skills. In addition, my students have challenging behaviors and need a lot of academic support and self-help skills. My school site is one of the oldest middle schools built in this city. It is a great school with a wonderful staff, but lacks resources and technology to provide our students with a modern, effective education.
