Donations for this project will help encourage students to work their hardest as they work in a comfortable and inviting space with appropriate materials. This gives the students a feeling of comfort, that makes students from our urban communities enjoy reading. They love to snuggle in a beanbag and read with their friends. The pencils and pencil sharpener will help them respond appropriately to text with the right materials. I plan to put the beanbags in the literacy area but can imagine the children moving them to the rug at group work time. Imagine a comfy place to curl up and read a good book? What better way to encourage reading in young children!
