The Gaiam Backless Classic Balance Ball Chair greatly alleviates the aching back/legs/arms syndrome that comes from sitting at a desk for hours. Also helps to strengthen core, relieve pain and promote proper spinal alignment, posture, a healthier back, and overall well-being. High school students sit all day, more than the recommended amount. Many adults have a hard time sitting as much as we ask our students to. However, much of the work I need my students to do requires them to be at a table or desks because they are in groups. These chairs will provide a break from sitting in normal, restrictive chairs while still allowing them to work collaboratively.
