My students attend an inner city school that has a 98% free and reduced lunch rate. Many of them come from difficult backgrounds, but that doesn't stop them from working hard and persevering. We have very high expectations at our school and my students strive to meet them everyday. Their love for reading is exciting, and their enjoyment of reading books aloud as a class motivates them to aim high toward success with our 5th grade state standards.
