On behalf of my fifth grade class, I wish to thank you for your generous gift. It's coming at a perfect time for us to begin our study of weather. This weather station will provide a great visual and hands-on aid to both me and my students.

This classroom project was brought to life by Duke Energy and 5 other donors.

Our 5th grade class is curious about the weather and why it happens, and as part of our science curriculum, we study weather and climate. A classroom weather station would help us "see" and record what's actually going on. A weather station would also benefit our school as we have a morning news cast and could offer "live" weather from our own source.
