My school is a small, urban, college-prep, public school focused on students who want to be the first member of their family to attend college. The vast majority of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch and belong to racial groups that are underrepresented in higher education. Because my school's mission is to prepare ALL students for college, every 12th grader -- regardless of prior preparation or skill level -- takes AP Government with me and I love how seriously my students take the class and how hard my lower-skilled students work to master the rigorous, college-level curriculum.
