My students are 6-8 graders with 95% qualify for free or reduce lunch. They come from single family homes, are homeless, live in a shelters or with another family member . My students are eager to learn and read books but unfortunately many books in the library are aging. Not only are we dealing with aging books but we are also dealing with books that our students are unable to relate to the characters or plot.

About my class
