Many of these materials will be used to help my energetic students focus on what is being taught in class by encouraging them to focus their energy in healthy ways. My students have grown up in a time of many unknowns and have needed help with learning how to de-stress and manage their emotions. My students also love to do anything hands-on and working cooperatively with their peers. Many of the materials I have chosen for my project will enable my students to work together in exploring the world around them. They absolutely LOVE Science and I hope to be able to provide them more materials to learn about magnetics, force and motion, and how living things grow. Other manipulatives I have chosen will help them be successful in their lessons of multiplication, division, area, perimeter, and fractions. Manipulatives help them learn and see the concept more concretely and make their learning interactive. They also love to read, so I hope to be able to provide them some specific reading materials that fit their interests. When a child finds a series of books that they are interested in, their reading ability can grow with their interest!
