  • Space Cadets

    Funded Feb 2, 2025

Thank you so much for your donation to help fund this project. My students have been able to become "Space Cadets". During this project, my students began working together better. They had to work together as teams to construct their space object. Students had to use the instruction of the Lego space object to build. I wanted my students to also learn to be patient in the process. At times, students would get frustrated that they could not find the pieces they needed. But they worked together to slowly sort through all the pieces to find what was needed. The pride they had when they successfully completed their space object was the best thing to witness.

Students have been using the science magazines to continue our learning in science. Each student has their own copy. The students enjoy the colorful pictures to connect their science learning to things we have been learning about in class.

Thank you again for your generous donation to help my students to become better scientists and learners.”

  • Calm the Mind

    Funded Feb 6, 2023

Thank you for your generous donations to help bring calming materials to my students. With the effects of Covid, my students are coming to class without some needed skills to help them learn and even to regulate themselves. With the resources your donations helped get, they have helped my students have a space within the classroom to go and calm themselves as well as learn about each others' feelings. Students are allowed to go to our calming area in the classroom at any time they feel the need. Students then have used the items to help regulate their emotions and return back to learning in the classroom. Students also have used the materials to learn more about their peers and their feelings. Thank you once again for your donations to help my students.”

  • Snacks and Stools

    Funded Dec 30, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations to help get snacks and stools for my students. Many of the students I work with on a daily basis come to me with behavior issues that sometimes stem from not eating. Students get to chose their snack as we talk about their choices or when helping them with their work. Our school is a Title I school where many of our students deal with food insecurities. These snacks have helped many of my students focus on their learning. Your donations also helped to purchase stools for my classroom to allow for students to have choice in their seating. Many students learn better when they are allowed to sit where and how is best for them. Thank you once again for taking the time to make a donation to help this project get funded and helping my students to be more successful in class.”

  • Calm and Restore

    Funded Aug 30, 2022

Since your donations, my students have been greatly affected by your generosity. The materials purchased have helped my students restore and calm them back into the learning environment. I set up a calming area in both my classroom and my office. When students come to me upset, they have used the fidgets and other items to help them calm down. This has also allowed me to build relationships with many students who have experienced trauma in their lives. Knowing they have a safe space to come to that helps allow them to calm down and restore themselves back into the classroom has helped greatly. Thank you so much for taking the time to help my students.”

  • Flexible Seating

    Funded Feb 8, 2022

Thank you for your generous donations to help purchase some flexible seating for my classroom. These materials help my students to be comfortable as they learn. The students can then focus on their learning and not have to worry about their discomfort with hard school chairs. Students can chose the seating options that best fit their learning style. The joy the students have as well as increased in my classroom since getting the flexible seats. Learning in the classroom has also increased with their engagement. Once again thank you for your donation and for helping my students.”

  • Snacks for Testing!

    Funded Jan 28, 2022

Each year students in grades third to fifth grades are required to take state tests to assess their progress through the year and other assessments to monitor progress. Students at my school also deal with food insecruties. With your donation, you were able to help purchase a variety of health snacks that students can have before and after each of these tests. Students then don't have to worry about food and doing their best on a test. Now they can focus on just that, doing their best. Your donation has helped all students in these grades. I want to say how much I appreciate the time you put into helping them out. Thank you.”
