I teach in a Title I high school in Houston, TX. Roughly 85% of our children are on free and reduced lunch. The majority of our population is Hispanic, and many of them do not speak English as their first language, which is an ongoing struggle to overcome. Our school environment is comparable to that of a family. Every member of staff works together to ensure that all of our students can achieve success.
