Hello! I am the IB Environmental Systems and Societies teacher at Baltimore City College High School for 11th and 12th grade students. I am in search of resources to help build a classroom that fosters students' mastery with technological skills, scientific literacy, and inquiry. I want students to not only "talk the talk" but "walk the walk" as environmental scientists. The first step to making this happen is to analyze the impact that we have as individuals and develop solutions for these issues. As a model for my students, I realize the extraordinary amount of paper that is unnecessarily used on a daily basis in a school building. The immediate solution to this problem is to build an "online" classroom using computers with internet access. Not only does this solve the issue of wasting paper, but it helps to prepare our students to participate, compete, and succeed in a technology-based world.
