I am overjoyed and very thankful for your most generous donations to my project. It is great to see that you share my vision for reaching children. Encouraging kids with disabilities to use a tablet to complete an activity is just one step of many towards leading an independent life.
The tablet that you have funded will enable students to use there upper extremities more effectively to create, research and participate in school related activities. My students will not be bound by there disabilities, however realize with creative thinking and technology they too will have the opportunity to have an independent lifestyle.

The students that I work with have disabilities that range from Cerebral Palsy to Spina Bifida to being Autistic. They come from low socioeconomic areas where resources are not easily accessible. If you have seen the movie My Left Foot where an individual creates art using just his foot well these are some of my students. My students are eager to learn but are faced with obstacles and challenges that take technology or assistance from others to complete tasks. With the advent of laptops and using them within a classroom environment, my students will have easier access to information, research and overall independence within the classroom.
