    Thank you so much for funding my project!! We have so low on snacks. Just yesterday one student said "I am starving" and it just hurt my heart.     Thank you all SO much! For my project, I asked for many different snacks. Having a snack is something that my students look forward to in their day. Many students will complete more work if they are able to earn a snack. Snacks are expensive these days and my students and I appreciate the snacks we received!

    I have found out that some of my students may not get breakfast before they come to school and are very hungry when they arrive. I know that if I am hungry, it is hard for me to work. So, having extra snacks in the room has helped out tremendously!

My classroom is primarily made up of children with special needs; including speech/language needs, cognitive impairments, visual/auditory impairments, autism and academic needs. Most children have had minimal exposure to English. Preschool is their first opportunity to learn English. Some of these children are at risk for not reaching academic proficiency. Most parents of my students are very young and require lots of assistance to access resources. It is my goal to provide and prepare my students and their parents for Kindergarten and beyond!
