Our students come from the most depressed area in Springfield, Massachusetts and we are 98% below the poverty line. Twenty five percent of our students are identified as Special Education. With all of the odds against them, our students come to school daily, and work to put their best foot forward. The 100 Mile Club was started in large part because many of our students are unable to safely play outside due to the crime in the neighborhood. The 100 Mile Club provides our students, families, and staff the opportunity to run or walk before school. We incorporate social skill building, character development, social studies, and are hoping to incorporate math in the future.
