I am an elementary special education teacher at a Title One school with a 60% Hispanic population. My school is an elementary school located in North Charleston, South Carolina. Some students come from broken homes, families that only speak Spanish, and 91% have an economic disadvantage. My students have not had opportunities or not have been exposed to everyday things. That is why I feel my project, Seeing is Believing, will provide my students with the tools they need to be successful.
