  • Perfect Classroom Corner

    Funded Apr 4, 2017

The quiet time privacy cube is frequently visited by all the students throughout the day. They absolutely love the space to sit alongside another student, read a book or simply to find a cozy area to reflect on the days activities. As a class, we discuss the importance of finding a space to help us refocus or perhaps help us get away from the noise. This is exactly what they have chosen to do with this new area of the classroom. Thanks again for your donations and helping us fill that new space in the classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sader

  • Large Letters Lead to a Love of Books!

    Funded Apr 4, 2017

Thank you for your generous donations. With your help, I have been able to transform the reading area of the classroom into a new learning space. The beautiful and colorful letters and images on the carpet are very inviting to the students. This area is now those most visited area of the classroom. As a result, I find myself reading more frequently to the children because that it's their favorite area to visit throughout the day. Once again, thank you for making a positive impact in the lives of my students.”

  • Parent Portfolio Archive

    Funded Dec 16, 2016

Thank you for your generous gifts. These materials will enhance student/student as well as teacher/parent communications. The materials are used to gather student work, create student activities and ultimately monitor student growth. Compiling student work to demonstrate student achievement and students strength is essential to differentiate instruction and aid in student achievement. Thanks again for providing these materials that will help students and myself monitor student progress so that optimal learning occurs.”

    With gratitude,

  • Portfolios! Help connect all the pieces.

    Funded Dec 16, 2016

Thank you for your donation. With your help, students will have an opportunity to use the Ipads with little or no noise interruptions. They have learned to take good care of the headphones in order for them to continue to use them throughout the year. They enjoy working in groups to use the laptop as another means of learning throughout the day. Your generous donations are a great source of learning. Once again, thank you for helping me achieve student success through different means. On behalf of my students, thanks again.”

    With gratitude,

  • Digital Camera Cannon EOS Rebel SL1

    Funded Mar 9, 2016

    Dear Donor,

Thank you very much for your generous gift that has impacted the lives of my students. Documenting student learning through photographs enables my students the opportunity to revisit the learning experience and reflect on it. That in turn engages students in meaningful conversations that fosters language development, communication skills and introduces new vocabulary related to the topic or activity across all academic domains. The photographs along with a description are also shared with parents and placed in their portfolios. Thank you once again for helping me instill a love of learning in the lives of my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sader

My students consist of three and four year olds at all levels of development. They consist of English Language Learners as well as monolingual students. It's a public pre-school in an Abbott district. My students are curious and are constantly exploring new things. As a facilitator in their learning experiences, I would like to capture these moments to aid in their learning experiences. I aid in their learning experiences by asking questions and providing additional materials to encourage them to think deeper in order for optimal learning to occur. I often take pictures with my old point and shoot camera and later provide the pictures to the students and invite them to talk about that learning experience. This type of activity encourages students to demonstrate understanding, foster language development as well as aid in social emotional development as they share their experiences with their peers.
