In our classroom, my students and I work together to build a strong relationship based on feeling safe, at ease, and comfortable with each other. Although our new school is very modern, the concrete floors in our classroom can make our learning haven feel nothing like a comfy space. The area rug, beanless bag chairs, inspirational quote pillows, and organization stations will allow students to feel more at ease, relax, and be able to let their visions come to fruition. This comfortable space will not only provide students with the motivation to earn the use of it but will provide them with different opportunities for collaboration and will allow their ideas to flow in a more natural setting.
