Have you ever seen a colorful painting or picture and it has caught your eyes? Well, as a third-grade teacher, my students are very engaged in learning when the full spectrum of a document is printed in vibrant colors. As they are working in Social Studies, or any subject area, colorful pictures will promote inquiry discussions within student groups. Therefore, my goal is to bring numerous visual images within the lessons to make learning captivating, enriching, and creating an innovative group of learners. I will use this color printer to print out pictures to delve deeper into a discussion as they are learning about different countries and cultures within the Social Studies curriculum. Students will be able to use these visual models to write informational reports to share out their learning. As most of my students are ENL learners having a print-rich environment will enhance their language growth as well. Humbly, I am asking for the following donations to enable this thirst for learning to occur, a color printer with ink cartridges, a box of printing paper, and a laminator with laminating sheets to protect the printed items which will be useful in teaching my students.
