  • Football Sled Project

    Funded Feb 10, 2017

    Thank you for your act of kindness and love. I'm using the monster sled equipment as a tool to strengthen the leg power of the kids. The students are pushing the Sled through what we call a shoot to simulate blocking keeping their but low with power.

    When the kids first saw the equipment it was an reaction of uncertainty. They really didn't what to expect but realized that it was a blessing. The kids show a pleasure of gratitude when they look at the sled daily.

    Now that we have both Monster sleds, our goal is to gain leg strength. We will push the sleds daily and add weight to it to and resistant. As we become stronger we will use the harness to increase our speed power.”

  • Kicking Up a Storm

    I would like to thank you for your gracious donations. We are enjoying the use of the equipment through various activities. The equipment has allowed us the ability to Kick Off and preform an onside kick on our special teams. The resources gives us the opportunity to wok on special teams during practice in order to prepare for the game.

    The reaction of the players and coaches was price less. The appreciation of having when you didn't have, words can't explain. We are in the process of trying to build muscle and leg strength.

    The next steps for our students on a current classroom project is driving people off the ball. The Monster sled is a machine which will allow us to work on those muscle groups. The sled will give us a real world type of situation where we have to put those muscle in to action. Your contribution is greatly appreciated and we look forward to your continued support of the Miami Sunset Athletic program.”

  • Footballs for Football

    Dear Donors,

    Thank you for donating to our football project! These footballs get used everyday in practice and for games! We use them to practice our offense including passing and running plays! The student athletes now have enough footballs that we can run multiple drills at the same time for offense. Our starting quarterback was especially excited to see these new footballs! He told us that they were the perfect size and the leather was awesome! Thanks for helping us to get these much needed footballs for our team! We are halfway through the season and the kids are using these footballs everyday! Thanks for your support!”

  • Stepping Over the Competition

    Dear Donors,

    This project has enabled so many different drills! We could never thank you enough for supporting this amazing team! These Gorilla Step Over bags are great for practice! They are durable and the perfect size for all kinds of exercises! Our lineman use them to mark the side lines for blocking drills. Our linebackers use them for calisthenics. High knee drills have never been so effective! Our students are getting faster, stronger and football smart! Thank you for making this possible!”
