A Voice for Everyone
Funded Mar 12, 2018Thank you for giving towards our campaign "A Voice for Everyone." Our students and staff have seen extreme benefits from the resources we were able to secure. Students are using their voices to interact in school, at home, and in the community as a result of your generosity.
As a result of the funding, students are more able to communicate using communication devices. The straps and cases you provided allow our students to carry their voice with them everywhere they go. Additionally, several students are taking their iPads (with communication app) home each night so they are able to communicate with parents and the community using words, often for the first time. This increases motivation to learn how to use communication devices. More importantly, it allows children and their families a way to connect in a deep and more meaningful manner.
The funding has also made it possible for our staff to carry communication devices and model for our students. We have seen increased use by our students as a result. Our staff have become more comfortable with the devices, which allows us to better support students who use them as a primary mode of communication.
Thank you for the role you have played in providing a true voice for our students. I look forward to seeing how this gift continues to impact students as they become even more successful in speaking with their new voices.”

Learning While Moving
Funded Sep 19, 2016Thank you so much for the items you purchased for my classroom. I hope you enjoy the pictures of my students enjoying all the alternative seating. It was especially fun to watch my students open the boxes. It was like Christmas as they explored the boxes and worked together to put the items together. Everyone played a role in helping with the unpacking. They were jumping up and down with excitement as they opened packages.
My students love having more options for seating while they work. I have seen better focus as students have been able to move around the room more. Students are able to trade their seats throughout the day and are also able to use the extra seats as they work in different locations around the classroom. There are less complaints about having to get work done, since they are able to move while they work.
Thank you for contributing to the positive environment of my classroom. The seating has helped turn my classroom into a fun classroom where both general education students and special education students enjoy coming. Thank you for being a part of this!”
