  • Read It, Write It!

    Funded Dec 30, 2021

Thank you so much for your support! I can't begin to express how challenging and ever- changing this pandemic has been in schools. Your support means so much! We were able to get items we needed to meet new Covid guidelines at our school and help re-ignite the love of learning in my students.

One thing we got ( that we love) are 2 double sided, wheeling magnetic boards. These allow us to have multiple teaching stations ( for distancing), and more opportunities for hands-on student experiences. We will use these for years to come!

Thank you too, for all of the wonderful books! We love books that teach us about different places, people and things. You helped make our classroom library better. I wish you could have seen how excited my students were when the items arrived and when we get to use them. (Their excitement showed in their eyes, even though they were wearing masks!)”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Peterson

  • Can You Hear Me?

    Funded May 5, 2020

Thank you so much for your contribution to this project! With the pandemic, this has been a LIFESAVER for me and my students. Students used the microphoned headsets to do ELL testing in building this fall. We have continued to use them through the year.

Some of my students were able to check out a set to use at home. Many of my students' homes are very noisy and this helps them engage and participate. I love to see them online and light up when they are using their headsets.

It has been so wonderful to have technology to use with my students during this challenging time. So many of my students have barriers to learning and access and this has been wonderful.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Peterson

  • Book It!

    Funded Oct 3, 2019

Thank you so much for giving to my classroom! My students LOVE our new books and can't wait to dive into them. Whether the book's purpose is to teach about a certain subject, provide a word-free book for a young student, or to teach about social emotional needs, they fill a special place in our classroom.

Your donation bought wonderful books that will be used for years to come. Hard-backed and strong, I know they will live through years of student use and love. Having a complete library ready for students is so critical for our students. I appreciate you!”

  • I'm So GLAD We're Learning Together!

    Funded Jul 9, 2019

Thank you for donating to my project " I'm so GLAD we're learning together." After getting Tier 1 GLAD certified this summer, there were supplies I was needing to implement these awesome strategies in my classroom.

The pocket charts and two moveable chart racks allow my students to: add sentences to a chart, use stems, display pictures, participate in accessible chants/songs, and so much more! It means so much that you chose to donate to our classroom. These materials are already well-loved and will be usable for years to come!”

  • Show Me a Story!

    Funded Jul 12, 2019

Thank you so much for giving to my project " Show me a story." Teaching three different unique special ed EL groups, it is important to have a variety of materials to use with my students. The rack, and ten book/puppet/activity kits have greatly enhanced the type of lessons I can teach with my students.

Students smile as they can see the pictures on the large format books, use the interactive puppets, play the games, and place small felt pieces on a story board. Thank you for your thoughtfulness in donating to my classroom and students.”

  • Set Up For Success!

    Funded Jun 6, 2019

You did it again! Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom. Since two more blue dividers and emotion dolls arrived, it as been so nice to be able to close off parts of my classroom. Serving so many different student needs, the dividers can be used as privacy screens, dividers for different stations, de-escalation areas, safety barricades, you name it!

My students refer to them as the 'blue gates' and often ask if parts of my room are "open" or "closed." It is nice to be able to provide a wide range of areas in my room to meet various needs. Thank you so much!”

  • Individualized Instruction

    Funded Apr 16, 2019

Thank you so much for your contribution to our project " " Individualized Instruction." It means so much that you choose to support my students! When the divider came, I drug the huge boxes to my room and started putting it together. I saw students peeking into the ELL room. They were so excited to see what it was! The partition allows for many different setups in my classroom. The screen can be used to "close" as an area, work with a small group, block a student that may be receiving individual assistance with executive functioning skills, and a ton of other ways! Thank you so much!”

  • Full STEAM Ahead!

    Funded Mar 3, 2019

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and my amazing students!

When the books came, my students were so excited! New materials always make learning and lessons that much more special. Several of my kids said, "I've never got to open a book for the first time."

These books have allowed us to dive into our STEAM lessons and make connections to daily life. One of the things I love to do is to collaborate, and having 2 of each book has made collaborating with other classes and support teachers much easier. Thank you so much for your support!”

  • Show Me a Story!

    Funded Nov 6, 2018

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom! It really means so much to me and my students. This project got us a tabletop storyboard and hardcover books to go with our story telling kits.

These items have made teaching our stories much easier. Our students no longer need to leave the table to walk up to a felt board, which is difficult for many of our multi-ortho students and students with mobility issues. My students love listening to a story that's being read to them and helping "choose" the correct plush piece to put onto the storyboard at the right time. I know we will be enjoying these items for years to come! Thank you so much!”

  • Include Me!

    Funded Oct 9, 2018

Thank you so much for your donation to my project "Include Me!" I can't tell you what a difference it makes for my students. We were so excited when ten different storytelling kits arrived along with another wobble chair and development squeeze scissors. These items make lessons more accessible for my students.

The storytelling kits are visual, soft and students are able to place them onto a board. This is used for telling the story, retelling as well as creating " choices" for non verbal students. " Which one is the red horse?" for example. The other items allow for flexible seating and for non traditional cutting for students who can squeeze scissors.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

I serve 100 ELL (English Language Learners) at my school. My school is 89% free and reduced lunch and is located in a needy community. My students are about 50% Hispanic, 25% Cambodian, and the rest a wonderful blend of everything from Russian to Chinese. They come from different countries and backgrounds. The one thing they all have in common, is the drive to learn English.
