Books, Books, Books!
Funded Nov 4, 2021Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and funding this project! My students are so excited to have these books in our classroom library.
These books are ones that my students requested and wanted to have access too in our classroom. They read every day, and it is so important to me to have books in my classroom that are high-interest for them. It makes them love reading and they want to read, which is amazing.
They are already planning for what series to ask for next! They are so excited about having these new books! I can't thank you enough!”

Funded Jul 13, 2021Thank you all so much for supporting my classroom. This grant provided so many things for my classroom this year to get us off on the right foot!
The students love the dry erase pockets and they use them daily for personal dry erase boards at their seats. They also think the electric stapler is the best thing ever!
I have enjoyed having fresh bulletin board supplies and labels to make sure everything is neat and organized. I am also most grateful for the air filter refills for our air purifier. It is so important to me to provide my students with a safe and healthy environment!
Thank you again so much for the support. It means the world to me.”

Funded Jan 11, 2021Thank you so much for these supplies for my classroom! They are already being put to great use.
The board games and card games are already opened and being well-loved by my students. We are having fun learning about the strategies and how to play each game.
The new document camera is a tremendous help, especially during this time. I am able to project pages on my pro-board to my whole class, and we can work together. This camera is able to show full pages, and we love the clear picture.
We also love the other supplies and are using them to spruce up our boards and classroom.
Thank you again for your support!”

Root, Root, Root for Reading!
Funded Oct 22, 2020Thank you so much for supporting my classroom. These books will not only be enjoyed by my current students, but also for years to come.
Each week, we use one of these books to learn a new reading skill. We focus on things like character traits, how characters change in stories, plot, mood, and so on. I also use the books to teach vocabulary words, as well as writing skills. They really are a wonderful addition to my classroom.
Reading looks different in my classroom this year, but we are making the most of it. Students get the chance to look through these books, and enjoy seeing them as I read them aloud.
All of my students are enjoying these new books. They love the illustrations, as well as the lessons they are learning. Thank you again for making that possible.”

Funded Dec 1, 2020Thank you so much for these books for my classroom. They will be used for many years to come to help my students learn about different reading skills and strategies and help them become life-long readers!
This year reading has looked very different in my classroom. We are doing much more as a whole group, and these books fit into our instructional time perfectly. I am able to share the book with the students, and they are learning about everything from character traits to synthesizing while reading.
These books contain wonderful stories and information that students can connect to, and they love them.
I can't say thank you enough for supporting my classroom. It is so appreciated.”

Funded Nov 26, 2018Thank you so much for the new dictionary and thesaurus set for our classroom! These are used in many different ways in my classroom. Students are learning how to revise and edit their writing, and these are so helpful when they are learning how to vary their word choice, as well as check for misspellings.
I also teach dictionary skills in third grade, and it is so helpful to have a class set of the same book so we are able to look at the guide words, and do many different activities using the books. We use the thesauruses the most during writing time, when students are looking at their word choice, and switching words out to find a better fit.
These books are such a huge hit in my classroom, and I know they will be used for years to come! Thank you so much!”

Funded Nov 26, 2018Wow! Thank you so much for these new wonderful books to add to my classroom library! I love to find books that go along with the skill or strategy my class is working on. All of these books fit into that category! Whether it be working on plot, setting, characters, making inferences, or learning how to be kind and use manners, these books will be used for years to come in my classroom!
Each day I teach a mini-lesson focusing on a specific skill or strategy. I love to have a book that shows that in action. Students then break into different stations, and they have the opportunity to apply what they are learning. I also love to keep these books out and available so students can reference them as needed.
Many of these books contain humor, and I have found that my ESOL students are loving to read many of these books! They love being able to make a connection, and it puts a smile on their faces!
Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and my students. I am so grateful!”

Funded Mar 27, 2018Wow. Thank you so much for supporting my classroom, and helping provide materials for my students that they are able to use every day in my classroom. These materials are providing quality stations for my children as they work in Daily 5 stations each day.
They love the new options they have to choose from, and they are having so much fun using the different activities that are all included. They are also excited about being able to publish their own books using the blank publishing book sets. The stamps are also a huge hit! My students were so excited when all of the materials arrived, and they look forward to using them each day!
Thank you again for your support, and making learning fun in my classroom!”

Funded Jan 26, 2017Thank you so much for your donation for our classroom project. The technology and books have been used daily in our stations. Students are able to listen to fluent reading on CD, and they are able to apply what they are hearing in their own reading. I have seen an improvement in fluency, and students are also starting to pay closer attention to text features such as bold print during their own reading.
The students love having longer books to listen too, and books that relate to things they are learning in other content areas. They also love the new headphones!
My ESOL students have really enjoyed this new resource because they are being read to in English, and that is not something they are getting at home.
Thank you again for your donation. It really means a lot to me and my students.”

Help Us Jazz Up Our Writing!
Funded Nov 29, 2016Thank you so much for the class set of dictionaries and thesauruses. My third graders are using these every day in their writing, as well as during our vocabulary lessons. They are able to have their own copy of the book, which is so beneficial to them and teaches them dictionary skills. They are able to look up parts of speech, plural forms, as well as synonyms and antonyms.
My children go to reading stations each day. They have a choice as to where they would like to go, and often when they are in writing station, there is a dictionary or a thesaurus close by! We are also learning about the writing process, and these are so helpful when students are having trouble with word choice.
We are all loving the books, and I really do appreciate you taking the time to read about our project, and donate. Thank you again.”
