Experiencing A New Physical Education Class
Funded Oct 4, 2019I couldn't be more thrilled about the new sports equipment we received. The students are very excited about the materials and are using it to the fullest. One of the sports they enjoyed the most was Volleyball. Some of the students who don't enjoy PE were excited to play Volleyball and were thrilled to learn a sport they have never played before.
The students were thrilled in getting the new materials. They really enjoyed the new soccer balls and nets when they were playing the game. It made it easier for students to see the goals happen when they were just using cones only.
My students are excited to play these games and I am hoping to introduce more sports in the future so they will continue playing and learning new experiences.”

Funded Oct 17, 2018I cannot express how happy I am with your donations. We have put these materials to good use. We used the majority of these items for the Harvest Fest we have every year. It is a yearly carnival we have for all of the elementary students where they can participate in different types of activities. From jump rope, to the bean bag toss, they were thrilled to play with these games. And I continue to use them throughout the school year
The students were thrilled when seeing the items. All they wanted to do was play with them right away. And within due time, they have gotten their wish. They will occasionally ask me to take out these specific items so they can use them for PE. I am thrilled they continue to want to use and play with them.
I will continue to use these items for the rest of the year, and I am beyond thrilled that you were able to donate these items. Thank you so much again for your generous donations.”

Funded Dec 27, 2017We cannot thank you enough once again for the generous donations for a class set of the book Night by Elie Wiesel. Some of the skills we used for the reading class is guided reading. That is when we read together as a class. One student will read a page or paragraph and than the next student will read as the rest of the class follow along. Sometimes students will want to continue reading without stopping since they enjoyed the book so much.
It very hard to get students to read at times since sometimes they may not find the topic interesting. Yet after hearing about what happened in the story, they were hooked. It brought some sadness to some of them as they were reading this tragedy that actually happened decades ago.
We showed some documentaries and other stories of the Holocaust so the students can get a background of the impact of the event. They appreciated the information so much as it helped them understand the story even further.
Thank you once again for this generous donations. For some students, this was their first story they have read completely. Some of the students were even asking to keep the books as well. I'm very thankful on the impact this book had on my students.”

New Soccer Goals Needed After Hurricane Irma.
Funded Nov 7, 2017I cannot express how happy I am about the goal posts we received months ago. I have been using these goal posts during my class, as well as for the after school program we have at our school. Even though the previous goals were destroyed thanks to Hurricane Irma, these replacements have not only been a Godsend, but they are actually better than our previous goals.
My students have been very excited and pleased with these new goals. They are sturdy enough where they will not get knocked down after a hard kick and it is light enough for us to move around for either the middle school or the elementary students to play. My students were excited to use them and they have been taking advantage of every opportunity to use and play with the goals.
We will continue using the goals for not only this year, but for school years to come. We thank you so much for the goal posts and are extremely grateful.”

Funded Oct 2, 2017I cannot express how much I appreciate your generous donation to my school. The basketball hoop has been everything I can hope for and my students are really enjoying it. We have been using it for our after school program, as well as our Physical Education classes. We are currently playing basketball in our PE class and our students are thrilled.
When the students saw the basketball hoop, they were eager for me to build it so they can play with it. Once it was built, they did not waste anytime in shooting and playing basketball. They really enjoy playing the sport and are having a great time,
We will continue to not only play basketball, but we can also run more drills and learn how to get better at the game. Once again, thank you for your kind donations.”

Funded Mar 26, 2017I can't thank you enough for the resources you all were able to give to my school and my P.E program. With this new equipment, we are now able to play full soccer games, volleyball games, and have more basketball games. The students were thrilled when they saw the new equipment, as they immediately wanted to use them.
With the sports equipment, the students can now practice their skills and also use them for the after school program. And for rainy days, the students will be able to use the board games to play with their classmates as well use their thinking skills for strategy during the games.
The next step for the students is to continue using the equipment for class and help them improve their skill during the school year. And hopefully, they will also grow to have an appreciation for the games as well.”

Funded Oct 21, 2016Words cannot express how thankful I am for the new basketball hoop for my school. With this hoop, the students are now able to continue practicing for their basketball season and give them more opportunities to be able to hone their skill.
The students reacted very well to the hoop. Some of the old hoops we had were either bent, off centered, or falling apart. They were thrilled to see and have this hoop for the season.
Now the players and the basketball team will use this hoop to their advantage and will be able to practice with it every week. We can assure that the season will continue, and it helps provide them with an extra curricular activity for after school.

I would like to thank you both for the materials and the new equipment you have sent to my school for the Physical Education program. The reaction on the students faces as I opened up the equipment and revealed the equipment were priceless. They were very excited to see the new soccer balls, footballs, basketballs and the hockey nets that were included in the program.
The biggest excitement were for the new soccer balls. The majority of the students in my school adore soccer. When we had some of the old soccer balls, they would either start breaking or every time we filled the balls with air, they would deflate almost immediately. With these new soccer balls, we don not have to worry about inflating them consistently and the kids are enjoying them a lot more. And it's gotten to the point where they would want them for the games for after school.
The next step with the equipment is to now use them for the elementary students that we have for the school. In addition, this will be the first year I will implement field hockey for the school, and I can't wait to use the nets we received to start it.

Funded Oct 20, 2015I am very thankful for the donations you have given to me and the students. The materials that I have received has been put to good use for my classes.
The students were both excited and curious from the materials we received. They were excited because of the new dodge balls. All of my students were excited to play and were very active while playing. It is their favorite game of the year so far. With the hockey, Spikeball, and Kan Jam, they weren't sure what to expect since they have not played those games/sports before. But after some instruction, they were excited to play it and have enjoyed it tremendously.
I plan on continuing to use these items for the duration of the school year. Whether it would be for a rainy day, where we are forced inside, or a regular day of P.E, these material will be out to good use. On behalf of the students, I once again thank you for your generous donations”

Variety Of Outdoor Games Needed For Physical Education
Funded Mar 9, 2014I could not be any happier with the donations I have received for my PE program. Both the Bocce Ball Set and the Corn-hole Toss Set has been well received by the students. The students are really enjoying these items for the program. At times they will start asking me for the equipment before I even have a chance to bring them out. Playing a new game they have never seen or heard of before has really made them enjoy PE a little more. Especially Bocce Ball. When I began teaching it to two students during our free time, it quickly turned into eight students playing it at the same time.
We are using the resources during free time when the students can play any sport they want. We are also using the equipment for any students who are not able to run or participate due to injury. If a student can play the sport or do there exercises, we bring out either the Corn-hole toss or Bocce Ball so they will still be active instead of sitting around and not doing anything. And so far it has been a huge success.
It boosted my teaching and students' learning by knowing that these students are up for anything new. They really enjoy trying something new instead of doing the same thing over and over again. It really has opened my eyes to not be afraid of doing something different every once in a while.
