  • Seating for Small Group Instruction!

    Funded Dec 22, 2023

I do not have the words to express my gratitude for your support for our project. The seating you are providing for my students will allow us to reinforce both small group and whole group instruction while giving the students a chance to have an alternative place to work. It will give them a place to be successful. I appreciate your interest and support so much.

Thank you so much for your donations!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Araneo

  • Tech Savvy Students

    Funded May 1, 2014

Thank you very much for your generous contributions to fund a new I-pad for our classroom. When the I -pad arrived my students were truly over joyed. Any chance they had they were asking to use it.

The children are all assigned at least two periods a week for 45 minutes to work on the I-pad. They use it to practice their math facts, practice a current skill in math that needs more reinforcement as well as reading short stories. When it arrived the students were in the middle of a research project and the I-pad came in handy for looking up information that they needed. Besides the required 45 minutes blocks for each child, there are other blocks of time where the students are able to use the I-pad when they have finished their work. There is rarely a time when it is not being utilized in one way or another.

By having the I-pad it has allowed me to set up activities for the students that reinforce skills that have already taught to help insure that they have mastered that skill. Having another piece of technology has increased my students reading and math scores. It has also allowed each student to become more fluent in the area of technology.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Araneo

We are a school that has a high rate of poverty. Many students are not exposed to technology that will help them be successful in the future. These fifth grade students are smart and have bright futures, but because of the lack of technology they could be behind their peers when they enter middle school. My students are eager enthusiastic learners who will appreciate and cherish the extra time using technology. They enjoy the once a week time they have with computers and they are always vying for more time.
