Reading and Cleaning

Having new graphic novels in the classroom can significantly impact student engagement, particularly during flu season when attendance may be inconsistent. These books serve as a comforting escape for students who may feel under the weather but still want to participate in class activities. By incorporating fresh, engaging reading material, teachers can maintain enthusiasm for literature while accommodating students' varying levels of energy and focus.
At the same time, having ample cleaning supplies for wiping down desks is crucial in preventing the spread of illness, especially during flu season. Desks, often touched throughout the day, can quickly become breeding grounds for germs. Providing disinfectant wipes or sprays ensures that students have a cleaner environment, reducing the likelihood of transmission and helping keep more students in class. A well-sanitized classroom not only promotes better health but also fosters a sense of responsibility, as students take an active role in maintaining their own learning space.
