Recess Equipment for All
Funded Dec 4, 2023Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. The recess equipment we received has been an amazing resource that not only my class uses, but the entire fourth grade population uses.
Their are so many choices for recess now. We have sidewalk chalk, bubbles, jump ropes, and a variety of balls for sports games. My students were so happy when we first unboxed everything we received.
We have been waiting for nice weather to start using the parachute. I think the week has finally come. The sun has been out so my students have been able to use all of the equipment so much more than when we have indoor recess.
When we are inside for recess the students love the magnatiles. Thanks for much for helping my students.”

Funded Oct 23, 2023Thank you for donating to my classroom. Your donation helped to get my classroom new stools for the teacher table. Not only do my students use these stools at the teacher table for small group learning they also can be brought around the room to make groups around desks.
My students enjoy these stools because they are easy to sit in and comfortable. When they are not being used they can easily be staked away so we have more space in the classroom as well.
The stackable stools have made a positive impact in my classroom because students can move stools as they need them throughout the day.”

Funded Aug 21, 2023Thank you so much for helping to provide my classroom with headphones for each student. During different times of the day these headphones are used for different purposes.
Sometimes students use them while they are on Lexia CORE 5. This is a reading program that requires headphones. Other students who need text read aloud to them can use headphones during math and science time. Students also use headphones to listen to playlists they have created. They are able to listen to their playlists to help them focus on their schoolwork.
Overall the addition of 1:1 headphones have been so helpful this school year. Thank you!”

4th Grade Essentials
Funded Jul 15, 2023Thank you so much for supporting my classroom. Having so many everyday essential items to start the year is amazing. I can't wait for the students to come in and see their name plates and be able to use them all year long as a resource. Along with their name plate they will see their class cash money folder. (library pockets) Students earn class cash to buy prizes inside the classroom.
My students will also all have their own whiteboard markers to use daily to solve math problems, practice writing, and free draw. The new shag erasers will be a huge hit when students help me erase the large whiteboard in our classroom.
Last but not least, Clorox wipes will keep the classroom clean and sanitized.”

Funded Feb 19, 2023Thank you so much for all of the new books for my classroom library. My students this year love being read to. They are into historical fiction like you wouldn't believe. Having so many new books inside my classroom has allowed for more reading and learning time.
The books are not only read aloud by me, but my students also enjoy reading them on their own. Students have even asked to borrow the books to share them with their families.
We did a unit of study during Black History Month. These books allowed for us new opportunities to learn about famous Black Americans and events in history.
I can't wait to continue teaching students in coming years with these books.”

Math Choices
Funded Nov 7, 2021Thank you so much for helping my classroom grow with new resources. My students have loved using the fraction strips when they are comparing fractions. They know how to use the tool to check their work and try new strategies.
The money is helpful for my students who are still working on their coins and denominations in a small group setting.
My students love using all of the new resources, but they love the multiplication practice the most. They enjoy when it is their day for fluency practice where they get to press buttons while practicing their multiplication facts.
I love that my students are able to utilize all of these resources to help their math brain grow on their own. They are respectful of all of the tools and consistently use them to practice and try new strategies on their own.”

Funded Aug 12, 2021Having so many new books for read aloud time has been great. I start every morning with a SEL (social emotion learning) lesson. During this time I read one of the amazing books you were able to donate to my classroom.
My students love this time of day and the bright colorful pictures. Using picture books to teach SEL is a great teacher hack. Students don't even realize they are learning important social skills.
Our most favorite has been all of the Little Spot Learning books. My students enjoy making connections and learning from Spot.
Thank you so much.”

Funded Mar 16, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donation towards my classroom. You have allowed me to give my students access to learning on the computer using engaging and fun activities. Teaching during a global pandemic has been a learning process. What I have learned is that my students love when they can "drag and drop", "draw on the screen" and see their learning live. Being able to download and use multiple learning activities keeps my students engaged and wanting to practice their skills.
As technology and learning on-line is everchanging these new resources will get updated and I will be able to use them not only with this year's class, but all of my future classes as well.”

Funded Aug 11, 2020Thank you so much for donating to my classroom library. Knowing I have so many great resources to use within my classroom is a great feeling.
Reading aloud to my students is one of my favorite things to do. This year in particular has been has been one my students favorite activities as well. We are learning entirely on-line so far this year. When I tell them I have a new read aloud, I see so many smiling faces and they actual turn their cameras on!
We have used this books to talk about culture, race, theme and important life lessons. Thank you for letting me teach my students these important topics with great mentor texts.”

Funded Aug 13, 2020Thank you so much for helping out my classroom this year. It has been a different year for sure, but it has been nice knowing I could provide my students will materials to help them learn and succeed.
My district is all remote this year and a few weeks back, all of my students were able to come to school and pick up the materials you provided. They all took home a bag filled with notebooks, pencils, markers, post-its, and a pouch to hold it all in.
They are so excited to have these materials and I can see them using them and bringing them to class each day. Knowing that my students have the tools to help them at home has been a sense of relief teaching during these difficult times.”
