There are many activities we can do with the 2 requested iPads inside the classroom and outside of the classroom. We have a limited amount of student computers in the classroom. I would like to use the iPads as a center during Math and Language Arts. Our school has bought programs that greatly benefit students learning. The problem is we have to share computers and we only get them once every 2 weeks for an hour. If we could practice daily, the students would benefit so much more. The main reason I would love to have iPads is for our week long trip to the Big Island. The students will take pictures with the Polaroid and print them off for a scrapbook. The students will type reports and take notes while we are on the field trip. They will use them for journal writing activities. The students will learn how to make presentations to share with the class and their families. They need binoculars to see the lava in the volcano better. iPads in the classroom have been proved to improve learning. The students will be able to ask questions, do research, and express themselves in varies ways. They will be able to document what they learned on their trip and share it. This could lead to a life learning experience.
