  • Supplies Needed

    Funded Dec 19, 2016

I am very happy to have Donors Choose, in my class due that we use tons of paper in order to get ready for the state test. Our school only gives us a very limited supply of paper, in which if we didn't have this organization we would have to pay for this out of our own pockets. This is something that most teachers do everyday in order to make sure our students' receive the best education.

When I received these material I was very happy due that I would be able to print prep materials for my students, without spending my own money. Many of my children are special needs and be able to have visual support for notes which assist them tremendously. Thank you for all donors who choose to assist teachers throughout the United States, you are all appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. W.

  • Let's Start the Year Off Right!

    Funded Aug 1, 2016

I just got the wonderful news that our project was founded!! Wow! That's what fifth graders said when they saw all the new materials in the classroom! They were shocked to see all the things that were donated.

My students are so eager to learn but they lack the supplies. So,they were amazed to see that generous donors have fulfilled our requests and add new classroom materials.

My students are conscious and carrying people. They take good care of any material that is in the classroom or that is handed to them and they do the most with the limited resources at hand.

Thanks to your support, my students' can continue to develop their love of learning.

As a new teacher, it has been challenging to acquire all the materials I need for my classroom. Due to your generosity, my students will have books to read and reread for the rest of the school year.

Thank you so, so much from the bottom of my heart.

"Success is not an option, we will succeed!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. W.

We are a high poverty school with a very diverse population of students of all backgrounds but we do not allow that to affect the quality of the program or equipment our students are exposed to. We want the best for them and they deserve it. In order to help my students learn the new content better, I ask them to complete different projects which involve writing and applying some important rules. I always encourage them to use their imagination and be creative. With loose leaf, markers, pens and pencils, mathematics will come to life for these students. My idea is once they complete the projects in a creative way, we post them on the wall and hopefully the lessons will stick to their minds. I have many students that come to school hungry. Coming from a community where the average income is $8,000, many of my students' families cannot afford basic necessities. Many students stay after school for additional help. They always ask for it and I would like to reward their hard work and love for mathematics.
