We are a Title I school in Suffolk County, NY, which means that 40% of our student population is considered at the poverty level. However, this does not deter our students love for learning. As a reading specialist, my students come to me longing to be good readers. They are well aware that if you cannot read, you cannot go very far in this world. They are easily excited, and because many of them do not have many resources at home, any form of modern technology they are exposed to is a big deal.
