Fidgets and Snacks!
Funded Nov 4, 2023Our classroom has been beyond blessed with all of the creative materials that were sent due to your generous contribution. We ordered games and workbooks.
I teach grades k-5 so having items that can be differentiated for them to learn is very helpful. We are able to use the workbooks in whole group but split up by ability level. The students are able to work collaboratively with their group and feel empowered as they are able to do the work.
I love to use games and file folders to help them learn instead of the traditional paper pencil. These games are able to be used in partners or individually. They are constantly challenging themselves in a healthy manner and I have already seen so much growth via monthly assessments that I do inside my classroom.
Thank you for you support for my classroom and my students.”
With gratitude,

This classroom project was brought to life by Nevada Department of Education.Learning Through Games!
Funded Oct 14, 2021The items we received have been amazing to help out growth this year. I have the students do a teacher evaluation once a quarter to see how I can better benefit them. One of their lower rates was having a say in their learning. With the materials/games that we received, the students have been able to take more control based on their individual needs.
I am seeing more interaction between students as they explore the games together in small groups or partners. I allow them to use the workbook once a week to continue to work with the paper pencil process, but the other days we are using the games based on their goals. For instance, I might have a kiddo who needs additional skills while another needs multiplication skills. What an amazing way to differentiate.
After receiving those items, I have watched them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. It has helped them gain confidence in their abilities. It has helped them gain control over their learning within my class. Thank you so very much for the support to make a difference for my students.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Burrows
