Thank you so much for funding this project. I am so excited to get our fourth graders practicing place value and my kindergarteners to start thinking logically. If it were not for people like you these kids would do without. I cannot wait until we are back from winter break to share this good news with the rest of my staff.”

I am planning on labeling each slot so students can identify each place value of individual digits and build success for that understanding. I am also hoping to use these with our kindergartens so that they may begin some logical thinking in playing the game with each other. Students will be given numbers orally and have them place them in the labeled slots so that they can see how the digits corresponds to the place value; therefore, learning the importance of place value. The logic for kindergarteners is that they must think ahead in order to get four in a row.
