  • Keep the Boys Reading

    Funded Aug 18, 2008

I am so very excited to know that you have decided to fund my project "Keep the Boys Reading". There is a huge jump that students must take between third and fourth grade. Particularly for boys, this can be difficult, mostly because they lose interest in the topics of books. I purposely chose books of high interest to grab the attention of my boys. As research has shown, the best way to become a great reader is to simply read, read, and read.

Thank you so much for supporting this project. You can count on thank you notes from all of my class as well as pictures”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Harper

  • Whoooo, Whooo Ate What?

    Funded May 9, 2008

I cannot even begin to express the thanks that I have, as well as my students, in hearing that our project was funded. Although we are surrounded by some of the most beautiful woodlands, it is not so easy to find food chains and food webs in action at this time of the year. Your funding will keep the love of science alive in both the girls and the boys and hopefully will continue to grow the awareness that is needed to keep our Green Mountains healthy, as well as our many other biomes on this Earth.

    Thank you for your donations”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Harper
