Movin' and Groovin'
Funded Jan 10, 2023I cannot thank you enough for donating the flexible seating options for my kids. They love all the seating options and really try to keep all the materials in best condition. They move from floor cushions, wobble stools to seat cushions as they see fit. It really makes a difference on the noise level in the class as the students are able to release any energy they have by simply moving seats or moving in their seats. Classroom management has been a breeze and I thank you for that. These seats will be used for many years to come.”

Kindergartners Play and Learn
Funded Aug 13, 2021Thank you so much for the gift. The students are enjoying using the donated items during their independent time. They use the letters to build their high frequency words using the tongs to strengthen their hand grip, the bears to make patterns, the construction paper to do projects, and they are learning and having fun. They are learning to read in Spanish with the help of the little readers and their comprehension is getting better. I truly appreciate you and your wonderful gift. My students want to say "Muchísimas gracias por todo."”

This classroom project was brought to life by Bill Gates and 2 other donors. These 5-Year-Olds Need to Play to Learn!
Funded Sep 4, 2019The students are excited to come to class every day and see the life cycle of the butterfly unfold. They enjoy comparing the caterpillars' growth to their pinky fingers and are excited for them to transform in to butterflies.
They are so very enthused with the ant farm and are fascinated with the tunnels they are making and making up stories of their new adventures.
The "games" have been a great success thus far. They are loving making words with the letter beads as well as building letters with the letter shapes. I could not be any more appreciative of your contribution as it has helped in making school a bit more fun for my little scholars.”

Engaged in Reading
Funded Feb 16, 2019Thank you so very much for giving us the headphones that we needed. In class, we can work in small groups on the tablets while allowing others to get one-on-one instruction on a skill the need to master. We particularly use this during language arts time. Being a Spanish dual immersion class means that my students are learning 2 languages and having the opportunity to work with my struggling students means they can be more successful in the program.
So far, my students have used the headphones during small groups. They do their required reading online while I work with my students that need help with letter sounds or with syllabication activities. There has been great growth and everyone is happy. We have also use headphones during math time. They can listen to math stories and play with numbers at their individual pace. Thank you all for helping us. It really has been life altering.”

Core Strengthening Flexible Seating
Funded Jun 22, 2018From the moment the boxes were delivered to my classroom, my students were talking about the fact that a new seat would be added. They have been really good at sharing the seats and at taking care of the seats this last week. We had to have a few conversations about how to be safe and a few that tried the seats and decided that that type of seat was not for them. Many are giddy to come to school and be first in the room to place their pencil box on the seats. It has boosted my attendance as well as their attention. I am so happy to have these seats and am so very thankful to you for helping make this happen. !Muchas gracias por todo!”
