  • Without the Balls, It Would Just Be a Game of Base

    Funded Jan 4, 2008

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. It is because of people like you that our baseball team is able to exist. The players are extremely grateful and always amazed that there are people out there willing to help them. Thank you again from me and the rest of my school as well as the players on the team, it is truly a blessing”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. M.

  • Baseball Team Needs Balls

    Funded Dec 9, 2007

"Wow!" Is how my players responded when they found out that we were getting our baseballs for the season. They are always amazed and grateful that there are people out there like you, helping them realize their dreams.

I am grateful as well. When it comes down to it, our baseball team wouldn't be able to play without generous people like you”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. M.

  • How Can We Graph With No Graph Paper?

    Funded Feb 28, 2007

Thank you for your tremendous generosity. With the graph paper, we will be able to complete many different in-class projects that we would have other wise been unable to. Being able to see their graphs on large graph paper will allow my students to learn how to graph systems of equations in a much more visible way.

It is because of people like you that our students in our most underprivileged schools get to experience opportunities that more privileged students enjoy on a regular basis”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. M.

  • Baseball Team in Need of Improvement

    Funded Dec 22, 2006

Thank you so much for your generosity. My jaw dropped upon hearing the news. The players will be so excited to hear that we will be getting a pitching machine. It is truly unbelievable that there are people like you, who would think to donate so much to our team.

Spring training begins March 1st and our first game is on March 20th. If you're interested in following the success of the team, please go to psal.org and look up our school.

Once again, thank you from the players and myself. This is truly a great holiday surprise”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. M.

  • Keeping the Baseball Team Safe

    Funded Dec 20, 2006

Thank you so much for your generous gift. Spring Training begins on March 1, and our first game is March 20th. I am very excited about the upcoming season and the players on the team will be glad to know that we finally have a first aid kit along with a replacement for the broken bat. It is because of people like you that our baseball program is nearing a level that many much larger schools are already on. From the team and myself, we are extremely grateful”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. M.

  • An Introduction to Wall Street

    Funded Sep 18, 2006

This is so exciting. The students will be so grateful to hear that they will get the opportunity to learn about the financial markets. Thank you for your generosity and interest in bringing new learning experiences to the students of Cobble Hill High School. Now they will be able to experience things that were previously unavailable to them.

Once again, thank you for supporting my students in their quest for knowledge”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. M.

  • Next Year our Baseball Team Could Be Even Better 2

    Funded Sep 15, 2006

Thank you for your generosity. It is because of donors like you that the students in our worst schools are afforded opportunities to succeed in life. My baseball players will now be able to compete on a level that the more well off schools can. It is unfortunate that our students must attend such underfunded schools, but thanks to you, they have a chance at good opportunities”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. M.

  • Next Year our Baseball Team Could Be Even Better 2

    Funded Aug 2, 2006

Thank you so much for your kind donations. The guys on the team have worked so hard to get where they are and your kindness will really make their hard work pay off. It is unfortunate that all New York City teams aren't funded the same way, but thanks to you, our team can compete with the other well funded schools. Once again, thank you for your donation. We would be lost with out it.

    Jonathan ”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. M.

  • Next Year for Baseball Team Could Be Even Better

    Funded Jul 6, 2006

Thank you so much for thinking of our team. I hope that in the upcoming school year we will be able to hold practices in the fall so that we can be more prepared to take on the rest of the league when the season opens at the end of March.

It is because of people like you that kids in this city have the opportunities that many of us took for granted growing up. They are truly grateful, as am I, for this kind and generous gift”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. M.

  • Wall Street Exploration needs Calculators

    Funded May 18, 2006

Thank you so much for your kind donation. It is because of generous people like you that the classrooms in Brooklyn's public schools are a bright and hopeful place; where children's quest for knowledge is perpetuated. In my classroom, the use of calculators like these will enable students to work with numbers that otherwise give them trouble. Once again, thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. M.

Extra-curricular activities for high-risk students are so important. Playing on a baseball team teaches the students many skills. They learn teamwork and discipline as well the skills to play the game. In addition, they are afforded the opportunity to be a part of a team which keeps the students off the streets after school and gives them an activity they can really be proud of.
