We had so much fun tie dying our shirts and then showing them off as a class! This activity had the intended effect of uniting the class into a community while having fun and creating precious memories. We want to extend our gratitude to you for your support and generosity in helping to make this project a reality for my little learners. The games are awesome, too! Funded Apr 22, 2022

The materials provided for my first grade class has impacted my scholars tremendously. We were able to plant seeds and create greenhouses to watch the plant life cycle in action daily.

It has touched each scholar in the classroom in a positive and special way because they never feel like they are left behind. The planting supplies allows equality in the classroom and ensure success for their future.

My class and I would like to say thank you for everything provided by the donor and we appreciate you guys.”

  • Cinco De Mayo Fiesta!

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Today we celebrated Cinco de Mayo as a class and what a wonderful day it was! We started the day of reading the story of Cinco de Mayo and then parading with the hats and Mexican flags. The kids had the best time! We then read Chicks and Salsa and indulged in a snack of chips & salsa! The kids loved learning about and celebrating a holiday that they may not normally know of and it was truly a blast! We thank and appreciate your generosity in bringing this project to life and giving my little learners an opportunity to have fun!”

  • Butterfly, Why?

    Funded Mar 27, 2022

Our caterpillars arrived yesterday and we immediately and safely transported them into their new habitat. The students were enthralled by the size and physical characteristics of the larva, exclaiming in delight while carefully observing what they were doing. This is an incredible opportunity for us to learn hands on! They are incredibly excited to watch the metamorphosis of these insects and we are all sincerely grateful to you, the donors, for making this project come to life for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

  • “X” Marks the Spot!

    Funded Mar 1, 2022

Thank you so, so much for helping to fund this fun project.

Think back to the last time someone put a smiley face on your breakfast tab or put a heart in the foam in your morning latte. It made your day, right? Let's face it - it's the little things - and first grade is no different.

My students are so motivated by positive words, little trinkets - and recognition. Your donation helped to fill our prize box so that students are able to get those little trinkets more often to mark their amazing successes!”

  • A Class Full of “Things!”

    Funded Feb 21, 2022

As a school, we celebrated Read Across America week with themed activities. We culminated the week by surprising the entire class with "Thing 1" and "Thing 2" costumes that were made from the donations that you so generously contributed in this project. Not only were they the cutest Dr. Seuss characters, but my students were able to experience literacy coming to life! In readers workshop, we've also been teaching the students how to use drama to bring stories to life by showing feeling in each part, but many struggled with being able to do so. Today... they were superstars!

Thank you for helping to support our learning by allowing us to make it interactive and engaging. You helped to demonstrate that learning can be fun. You brought joy and excitement to 24 first graders today! Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

  • Supplies for Student Success

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your generosity in supporting this project for my little learners. Since the small group materials arrived, it has been put to good use on a daily basis. The dry erase boards are instrumental in keeping the kids engaged and allows me to informally assess their understanding as they learn. The headphones have made a massive difference in allowing students to focus on their virtual learning during center time. It is because of you that my students are afforded this opportunity to grow, and we are ll so thankful for your support! Once again, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!”

  • Learning Through Literacy

    Funded Jan 6, 2022

Words can't express my gratitude to you and your selfless generosity towards this project. The impact you made on my students has been incredible! This special group of students unfortunately were all remote last year. Sadly most of them are extremely far below grade level, and these resources have played a huge role in helping to strengthen their phonemic awareness in an interactive way, as well engaging them in activities to improve their comprehension!!! They look forward to literacy centers now. We want to thank you from the bottoms of our heart for thinking of and helping us!!!”
