  • Wake Up and Smell the Hot Cocoa!

    Funded Dec 14, 2023

Today we created a hot chocolate bar within the classroom and oh my goodness, the kids were beyond excited! They enjoyed coming up one by one and creating their very own hot chocolate complete with fun toppings including sprinkles, marshmallows and chocolate bits. I wanted to thank you for generously donating to this project and giving my littles opportunities to create memories at school, and bond with each other. We don't get a lot of chances to do fun things like this. We deeply appreciate your generosity! Thank you again!!”

  • Sensory Wall For Self- Regulation

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

Thank you so much for your support and providing our students with sensory items. The students were so excited and every day they ask for permission to go over to our calming corner so they can use the sensory wall. We were able to create a custom sensory wall that encompasses the entire space of our calming corner. The students love playing with the sensory board. All of the materials have helped them regulate their emotions in a positive way. They are able to take breaks from challenging task or when they are frustrated and utilize the sensory wall. We appreciate you so much!”

  • Thankful for Thanksgiving

    Funded Oct 12, 2023

Friday afternoon was the long awaited and eagerly anticipated classroom feast! We had an amazing time learning about the history and traditions of the thanksgiving holiday, and especially enjoyed the feast. The decorations went a long way in creating a festive atmosphere and the students were smiling all day long. We want to extend our deepest gratitude for your generous support in helping to make this holiday for all my students, regardless of their financial and economic situations. This was truly the best day ever! :)”

  • Flower Table to Help Us Bloom

    Funded Sep 6, 2023

Thank you all so much for your donations to my Donors Choose project! The flower table that I originally wanted was unavailable but I was able to choose this sweet round table instead. My students love working at it and it is often selected first when we can choose our seat!

Having another table to sit at has made life in the classroom much more enjoyable. There is more room to play games, sit together for small group discussions, and just more room to work in general.

Thank you to everyone for supporting my project, my class and I appreciate it so much!”

  • Calming and Purposeful Sensory Space

    Funded Oct 22, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my students and their unique needs. These items have provided a calming, safe sensory place for my students to self-regulate their behaviors and maintain their emotions. My students were super excited about the items They love sitting in it in between classes. It provides them a space to step away from the classroom and reset themselves for the next part of their day. They use this space as a social space to hang out with their friends and just be students. These items have increased motivation to complete school work and decrease inappropriate behaviors. Thank you for providing these items for my students!”

  • MultiSensory Learning

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

I am so grateful for the opportunity to bring word phonics and math skills alive in our classroom with your generous donations. The subscription that were purchased make learning fun, inviting, and exciting to all my students. I have put on the songs for the heggerty nursery rhymes and the sight words already and it had my students moving and grooving to the beats. The songs each have a different melody for learning and reinforcing the skills they need to be successful learners in the classroom! The catchy tunes are fantastic for my visual, kinesthetic, and auditory learners alike! It is amazing to see my class all participating while they are having fun learning at the same time. The best part is that they don't realize they are learning while they are having fun dancing and singing. I heard a group of the girls already singing and repeating the songs at the playground! This isn't just a tool to help my classroom, but a learning experience to help all my future students understand important phonics, math, and alphabet developmental concepts for lifelong learning!”

  • We All Have A Voice!

    Funded Sep 18, 2023

I wanted to express my gratitude to you for your generous donation in support for this project. We are an integrated collaborative teaching classroom with a mixture of general and special education students, and this year we have multiple children who struggle with communication and these items have truly made a difference in in helping my nonverbal students' receptive understanding of language because the visuals really help them make that connection. Once again, we are truly so appreciative of your support!”

As you read in the essay, we are an ICT classroom that services both general education and childrenwith special needs. • Strengthening Fine Motor Skills

    Funded Sep 25, 2023

I wanted to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and appreciation for Your support towards this project. We have executed these new centers over the course of the past few weeks and the class is completely obsessed with them! They don't realize that they are strengthening their finger muscles and inadvertently utilizing the tripod grasp that is required for proper pencil grip. It also appeals to my special nonverbal learners who require sensory materials to stimulate their motivation. Thank you so much for providing the materials to create fun and engaging activities for my kindergartners.”

  • A Place for Everything

    Funded Sep 6, 2023

I wanted to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for your generous donations to this special project. As described in the essay, one ofthe foundations to learning is organization. These items have helped tremendously in providing clear destinations to enable and encourage independence in my kindergarten scholars already, in the short time that we've had these items! The easel is so child friendly and just the perfect size for visually displaying and interacting new and learned concepts. Thank you again so very much!”
