A STEAM-tastic Holiday
Funded Nov 30, 2021On behalf of my students, we thank you for your love and generosity, especially during the holiday season. My students were very thrilled when I told them that we were going to decorate a gingerbread house!!
My students were very excited and happy to receive their gingerbread house kits, along with other holiday treats from me. You helped me enlightened their day and brightened their holidays. The parents send their gratitude to you for supporting educators like us and to all our deserving little scholars.
Your unconditional support always inspires me to keep making projects for our first grade scholars. I hope you enjoy some of the pictures we're going to share with you.
Again, thank you and God bless your beautiful hearts!”

Ms. Rudzinski

Funded Nov 30, 2021Thank you so much for being kind and considerate and buying extra shirts, pants, and underwear for our young students. Our students are 5 and 6 years years old and, due to their young age, it is not unusual for them to have accidents. Although the majority of our students have extra clothes in their backpacks, we need extra clothes for those students who don't have extra clothes to spare, or for those who have multiple accidents in one day. The extra clothes that you provided through your generous donation has helped us tremendously. We are now better equipped to help the students change into the extra clothes we have. This, in turn, helps them get back to class quickly, instead of having to wait for their parents to bring extra clothes. This helps ensure that they don't miss out on much instructional time so that they can continue to learn and grow. Thank you again for your generosity!”

Funded Nov 20, 2021I want to start by saying thank you so much for donating to our classroom project. This project was such an important project because it provided us the curriculum we need in order to be successful during our distance learning.
I was able to purchase an amazing Boom card bundle, and I also purchased a small group bundle. I have been able to use both of these resources during distance learning. The students absolutely love the programs. Every time I pull up a Boom card they always tell me how much they enjoy the games.
We will be coming back on campus starting March 1st. I will be able to use the resources during our face to face instruction. I am especially excited about the push light segmenting activities. Thanks again for supporting our classroom! You are amazing.”

Funded Oct 10, 2021Wow, the carpet squares you helped donate have made the biggest impact in my classroom culture. In a time, where everything is different and we are making so many accommodations to stay safe.. these carpet squares have given us a bit of normalcy.
We use them first thing every morning as we have community time and I conduct my social/emotional daily lesson. Without the squares this time would feel less personal and disconnected. We use them in every subject. They give students an avenue to present in front of the room responsibly by marking the 6ft space from others.
Each student enjoys that they have their own personal square. They have been great stewards of your gift and take great care in keeping up with and cleaning their square daily. Thank you for providing my room with this amazing resource. We are so grateful.”

Thankful for Thanksgiving
Funded Nov 2, 2021Yesterday afternoon was the long awaited and eagerly anticipated classroom feast! We had an amazing time learning about the history and traditions of the thanksgiving holiday, and especially enjoyed the feast. The decorations went a long way in creating a festive atmosphere and the students were smiling all day long. We want to extend our deepest gratitude for your generous support in helping to make this holiday for all my students, regardless of their financial and economic situations. This was truly the best day ever! :)”

Literacy Centers Makes Learning Fun
Funded Nov 2, 2021I work with students on their reading skills in small groups. My students were so excited when I showed them our new resources. They couldn't wait to get their hands on them and explore. While we use games to reinforce skills, students just see it as playing a game, rather than actually working on their reading skills. Students ask me daily if we are playing the games again.
Their favorite resource seems to be the partner scripts, where they take turns reading a short story. Then they have a pull out card to ask questions to their partner. Fluency is such an important part of reading. The stories included in the partner scripts are interesting to the students. As a teacher, I love the fact that it works on their fluency and comprehension skills.
All of the fun and interactive games will make such a difference for my students. I look forward to continue using them to reinforce various reading skills that we are working on. I look forward to see the look on their faces when they realize they are real readers! Watching students learn to read and to love reading is one of the greatest joys of my job. Thank you again for helping to give my students the tools they need to be as successful as possible.”

Funded Sep 23, 2021I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for your generosity toward my students and their academic progress. Being that they were remote last year... My little first graders are behind in all academic areas, especially reading. Your support has enabled the students to attain some phonics games for reinforcement during centers and let me tell you... They love it so much! We are so appreciative of you and want to express our gratitude. Thanks to you there progress will speed up. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Funded Sep 27, 2021Thank you so much for all your help and support in bringing this project to life! My students have only had an I person experience being remote and it has been very difficult as we all miss working together and collaborating in the classroom. Now more than ever, I am beyond thrilled to have this table for when my students and I get back into the classroom and life begins to resume more normally. It is becoming very clear that nothing can replace the tangible experiences that students have working together and with their teachers in the classroom. Hands on learning is vital. I miss being able to model work and assignments for my students or working in small groups to better explain various lessons. They miss these experiences equally as much. We are all excited for when we can work together and learn from one another.
I have told my students all about our plans for small groups and station work with our new kidney table and they are thrilled that the room will now be well equipped with materials to help facilitate such activities.
Thank you so very much for your support in my classroom and for me as a teacher. Your generosity is appreciated more than you know.”

Fish Friends
Funded Sep 23, 2021Due to your gracious gift of our fish tank, my students have learned the true meaning of responsibility and collaborationl
The day that the fish tank arrived, my students were beyond excited to see that tank sitting on the bookshelf in the back of the room. They were asking many questions about what would be going in there, how soon they would be there, and the ever popular, "can we name them!?"
After our first week of school, they had more than earned their new classmates, so when the first Monday of October rolled around, we had a new friend with fins. They are fascinated by its flipping tail and its desire to have attention from humans. They have loved watching it grow, swim, play chase, and popping bubbles.
You have truly helped us provide a feeling of family and kinship in our classroom, and we truly appreciate you.”

Funded Aug 12, 2021I want to thank you for the help in getting this project funded. My school will now have the replacement chargers and cables to hand out to our students who have lost them or broke them. It seems that chargers and cables have a habit of getting lost or frayed and then they do not charge the device. It seems that many of the parents in my state are in need of devices and wi-fi and chargers and cables. This completed one of those needs.
This will help us help our students do their work and keep their devices charged and ready for the day's instruction. Thank you”
