Novel Study to build student knowledge of Key West.
Funded Oct 9, 2023We are extremely grateful for the set of books we received. We were able to read the entire novel and then take a trip to Key West. Students were able to visit the Aquarium, the Shipwreck Museum, Hemingway's House, Butterfly Conservatory and the Conch Train. We also were able to see the lighthouse.
Being able to see the student's excitement as they made connections was absolutely wonderful! I know this will be an experience that they will forever cherish!
Thank You again for being a part of this amazing educational experience.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Unilever and 2 other donors.Enriching Love of Reading & Learning!
Funded Aug 31, 2023I really can't thank you enough for having donated laptops to our classroom. We have been able to accomplish so many things thanks to having them in our classroom.
Our school has a reading program where students read and then they can take quizzes to check their reading comprehension. This program is called AR (Accelerated Reader). I am able to rotate the computers so that students can test when they are ready with minimal disruptions to our day. I have students that weren't motivated to read, who are now reading and testing on the computers.
We also have been studying the country of Japan. Because of these laptops, students were able to work in small groups. They researched and completed a Lapbook project.
These are just a few examples of all the wonderful learning that has happened in our classroom thanks to your generous donations. Again thank you so very much!”
