My school is in the inner-city in an extremely poor neighborhood. We are a multi-cultural school with students from many different countries and languages. My students are challenged not only academically, but economically as well. I have children from Peru, Spain, Guatemala, El Salvador, Columbia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Dominican Republic, the Congo, Jamaica, and Costa Rico. It has been difficult to teach without a projector, and they are just too expensive for me. These children are so loving and have such a thirst for learning. I can't show them enough pictures or videos to compare and contrast our learning base so they can build knowledge upon what we are discussing.
