Two Screens
Funded Mar 29, 2021Thank you for your donation. Having a second monitor allows me to teach my students with ease and not having to use 2 computers to teach. This year has been a real struggle for my students and for myself as well. Having this set up allowed me to teach successfully.
With having students both in person and virtual it was hard to do both. When getting the second monitor it allowed me to teach a little bit easier and give my students a sense of success. They also enjoyed being able to learn without interruptions and having to switch computers.”

Funded Oct 24, 2019Thank you so much for the donations for this project. We are using the supplies to keep our classroom clean, as well as the rest of the school. My students are able to help keep our cafeteria clean after eating snack and breakfast in there before the whole school goes to lunch.
My students were curious about the materials. One student helped me unpack the materials while the others put it away in the classroom closet.
The students in my room will be able to learn a valuable skill that will able them to have life time jobs and skills for their time at home.”

Mrs. Stepp

Funded Mar 26, 2019My students were able to use these materials to access curriculum. They were able to navigate their Chromebooks no problem. My students use the resources you have provided with your donations on a daily basis. They enjoy using new materials in a fun way. I have one student that can be difficult to engage and when we opened it up they were engaged and willing to do more of the activities. When playing the games that we got it is allowing my students to interact with one another more than just during breaks or during therapies. My students were happy to try something new. When unpacking it, my students came to look what was in the box. My students are constantly learning and this will help push their learning forward.”

Schedules Are Important!
Funded Jul 24, 2014My students were excited to see the pocket charts! They loved the colors and were drawn to them. My students look at the charts everyday to see what their schedule is. They help change the schedules and know when something is coming up.
We are using them everyday to look at their schedule. They know when they have something coming up like PE, Art, therapies, and more. Because of the smaller charts and bigger charts they know what they are doing throughout the day.
This is teaching my kids responsibility and that everybody has different schedules. That you have to look at your own schedule to know what is going on in your day.”

Reading is Fun!
Funded Apr 3, 2014My students were so excited to see these books come out of the box. When we talked about the new books they wanted to touch them and look at them. We then did read aloud over the next couple of days and they enjoyed them. We talked about how to be nice to new books since they are use to used books from Good Will. When they saw books that we have read before they were excited to read them their self. Just the look on their faces when they were able to have new books made myself, and the educational assistance in my classroom happy.
We are using the books to just read and to learn about morals. We read A Bad Case of the Stripes, and talked about how important it is to be yourself. We then colored blank paper people different colors. It was our version of A Bad Case of the Stripes. When we come back from spring break we are going to read Horton Hears a Who to then discuss how important it is to be nice to one another and that "A person's a person no matter how small!"
These books really helped me get a new sense of who my kids are and where they really are academically. They are able to recognize the letters of the alphabet in Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. My students that are able to read were able to read some of the words in Hop on Pop. They were all even able to look at Ten Apples Up On Top! We counted all of the apples up to 10.
The students all love the books and are excited to use something new in the classroom.
Thank you so much!”

Mrs. Stepp
